KIBBO is the platform that manages the medical equipment fleet of a healthcare institution: inventory, maintenance, history and traceability, whatever the manufacturer of the device.

It is developed in Córdoba, Argentina, and used by hospitals, clinics and medical centers across Latin America.

What KIBBO is

CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and GMAO (its Spanish acronym) are two names for the same category: the software that administers the asset inventory, preventive maintenance, work orders and the history of each device. KIBBO is a CMMS specialized in medical equipment, and those four functions are what it solves.

Medical equipment fleet management is the practice of keeping the full inventory of a healthcare institution's equipment together with its status, its location, its intervention history and its preventive maintenance schedule. It is the discipline clinical engineering deals with, and it is what KIBBO administers on a single platform.

What it does day to day

  • Fleet inventory: what equipment exists and where it is, each one with its QR code.
  • An equipment history file for each device: brand, model, serial, UMDNS code and a dated log of everything that happened to it.
  • Preventive maintenance with due dates in plain view, to plan it before it turns corrective.
  • Work orders and tickets, signed by whoever logged them.
  • A record of technical-service providers, in one place.
  • A dashboard with the fleet's state, to justify the investment to management.

Who it is for

KIBBO is built for the clinical engineering, biomedical engineering and maintenance teams of healthcare institutions: hospitals, clinics and medical centers that need to know what equipment they have, what state it is in and when it is due for maintenance. It is also used by the technical-service providers that service that equipment.

What KIBBO is not

KIBBO manages the medical equipment fleet: what equipment exists, where it is, what was done to it and when its next maintenance is due. It does not handle scheduling, medical records or billing. It coexists with the institution's management system rather than replacing it.

Who is behind it

KIBBO was created by LEEX, which has installed and serviced medical equipment for 40 years, with over 30,000 devices and a presence in more than 7 countries. That experience is the origin of KIBBO: the software came out of managing equipment every day, not the other way around. Even so, KIBBO works with equipment of any brand.

The difference for a committee is not a seal: whoever administers this data manages medical equipment every day.
